Paducah Water – Water Treatment Plant Operator

Description:

Paducah Water operates a Class IVA municipal water treatment plant in Paducah, Kentucky, and is currently seeking applications for the full-time Water Treatment Plant Operator position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include testing, monitoring, and adjusting chemical feed rates; preparing and maintaining daily logs; inspecting and monitoring all aspects of the treatment process; and assisting with light maintenance as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Kentucky Class III or higher Water Treatment Operator License; or a baccalaureate degree in engineering, biological,
environmental, physical, or chemical science, or equivalent, from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Must be able to obtain a Kentucky Class IVA Water Treatment Operator’s License upon becoming eligible.

Pay:
• Entry-Level Trainee (without license): $29.12/hour (90% of full rate)
• Shift Operator (with license): $32.35/hour (100% of full rate)
• Night Shift Premium: Additional 10% pay differential
• Annual Wage Increases: Effective January 1
