Central City Water Treatment Plant – Operator

The Central City Water Treatment Plant is currently hiring for the position of “Operator.” This is a full-time position (40 hours per week with the possibility of occasional overtime). This position is currently open due to operators retiring in January of 2024.

Responsibilities Include: Quality control testing, sample collection, SCADA monitoring & general plant operations.

Qualifications: Applicant must have a GED or equivalent. A Bachelor of Science degree is preferred but not required. Applicants MUST currently hold a Kentucky Class III or Class IV surface water treatment license. This is NOT a trainee position. Applicants must possess a valid Kentucky driver’s license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Applicants must be able to work some nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Compensation:

Class III: $24.00 per hour (starting pay)
Class IV: $30.00 per hour (starting pay)
