Full job description:
We are seeking a skilled Water Distribution Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating digging machinery and hold a valid Kentucky Level 2 Water Distribution License. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and operating water distribution systems to ensure safe and reliable water delivery to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain water distribution systems, including valves, hydrants, and mains.
Safely operate digging and excavation machinery (e.g., backhoes, mini excavators).
Locate, repair, and replace water mains.
Perform system flushing, sampling, and monitoring to ensure compliance with water quality standards.
Record maintenance activities and assist in system inspections.
Respond to emergency calls and perform after-hours work as needed.
Qualifications:
Kentucky Level 2 Water Distribution License (required).
Experience operating digging and excavation equipment.
Valid Kentucky driver’s license.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to safety procedures.
