Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government – Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators – Apprentice or Licensed

Description:

Essential Functions:

• Adds chemicals, chlorine, or lime, to disinfect and deodorize water and other liquids.
• Inspects equipment and/or monitors operating conditions, meters, and gauges to determine load requirements and detect malfunctions.
• Collects and tests water and sewage samples, using test equipment and color analysis standards.
• Records operational data, and/or meter and gauge readings on specified forms.
• Operates Treatment plant on SCADA system and adjusts controls on equipment to purify and clarify water, process and/or dispose of
sewage in compliance with State and Federal laws.

Apprentice position – no experience, minimum pay $15.76 per hour
KY Class I Operator position – minimum pay $16.10 per hour
KY Class II Operator position – minimum pay $17.75 per hour
KY Class III Operator position – minimum pay $23.78 per hour
